Look down the gun from the muzzle to the stock. Is the stock bent left or right? Even some inexpensive guns have this. If it's cast one way or another it could be a problem especially for a new shooter.

As a lefty this has bitten me in the past and I don't want to see it happen to someone else. That's why I asked.

Yes it does matter. The 2 is the improved version.

I seem to remember that you could buy the Century in what they called a "combo". One receiver and two barrels with differing internal barrel dimensions and or lengths. They numbered the barrels to differentiate them.

Browning did something similar with the BT99.

Nothing to do with quality.
