Shoot a lot of doubles really fast in the hot Texas sun with your P gun. I can promise you the side ribs will come loose. You'll know when they are loose, they start to rattle with each shot. AJ

All in all that would be a reallllly bad idea for many reasons. Just get a different set of bbls - it will be waaaaay easier and more than likely cheaper. And it will not be some cobbed together BS.

JMO of course

I thought it was a good idea also. Sent barrel to a well know perazzi smith. Got barrels back and the top shot 70% low, bottom 50/50.
Sent barrels back with pattern paper and haven't seen the barrels since Jan.
I was told they were going to pattern the gun this week after two attempts to regulate the barrels.

I can't see why this is such a big deal the MT6 was side rib free ends of barrels were joined together buy welding two blocks near the end with choke tubes no less. Perazzi Big Bore had Simmons do some for him a while back. I hope he is doing well he is missed here big time. Dennis Devault has done some also. Buddy

had a new top rib put on mine, and had Briley "split the barrels" should have it Friday, so I will be able to shoot it this week-end..If it quits raining.
Will post as soon as I find out how it shoots, as far as poi goes. Jim Butler

I read missed some's post about Break Free. Had a very experienced shooter
tell me last weekend that some oils attack rib solder. He recommended
G96. Has anyone had experience with oil causing loose ribs.
Thanks, Gary Owen
