Just finished watching "42" about Jackie Robinson, When a picture of Ebbets Field came up I lost it. As a kid I lived in that ball park-it was home. The new automated ball parks are IMHO are nothing compared to the old ball parks of yesteryear they have zero personality. So I must say long live Fenway and GO CUBS.

Phil,

I loved the film too.

The thing that got me was how much of a gentleman he was. He certainly carried himself through life with grace.

People talk of an inequality of races, of white privilege, a racial divide. This man won that war single handedly, with no violence, not even a bad word. He did it by proving his worth and his character. What more can you say about a person?

I "lost it" also when I watched how white Baseball Players treated this man when he entered into Professional Baseball. It's still sad to think that that mind set still exists today with many whites. Sad and pathetic.
