I have a Annie Oakley shooters question

Wondering how all you Annie shooters play the game! If you are shooting a double elimination Annie and say there are 4 people left and none have been put out. First guy pulls the target, misses, the second guy misses, the third guy misses and the 4th guy breaks it giving the first 3 guys there first out. Whose pull is it next?

We call them Killers around my area. It's up to 6 guns up. 2 buy back or hick rounds in the beginning(.50 cent per hick). So everyone gets to shoot at least 4 call targets. Once it's killer round, if you miss and the target is broke on the second, third, fourth, or, 5th shot, everyone that missed is out. The person that broke the target doesn't have to shoot again until it's their turn again in order. So if you keep making back up shots, you might never have to call your own bird in Killer round.

in this case the person after the person who broke it shoots the next call target.
This is the way, I have always played Annie's or Miss and Outs. If 3 shooters before me miss, and I with my gun up shoot and break the target. I knock those 3 shooters to the end of the line. In the order in which they shot. I get a pass on the next target CALLED For. So if I was the #4 shooter, and knock the first 3 shooters to the end of the line. I am now the #1 shooter, and the #2 shooter has to call for the next bird. Even though he just called for the target on the last bird called. I have never seen it shot any other way down here in Florida. So I still have a chance to knock out the other 3 shooters, before I have to call for my next bird again. break em all Jeff

In my area the Annie shoots are conducted like this. For example, we have 3 guns up and first shooter calls for the bird. If he misses and next shooter breaks it the first shooter goes to end of line. The third shooter from above is next to call for a bird. Basically, once you’ve shot and broken a bird as the second shooter did, you don’t shoot again until the next pass thru the line. All shooters get two buy backs.

We occasionally have that happen at our club. Your scenario assumes the first shooter is in the pole position, that is the left end of the line. The person who was the first shooter would then line up to the right of the fourth shooter, who hit the bird, and would thus be the first shooter again, with the original second shooter being second, and 3rd the 3rd, with the original 4th shooter being 4th again. Not hard to understand.
I'm not familiar with anything except the miss-and-out version of Annie Oakley.
We usually have 5-8 shooters, so a "free" buyback is included at our club. Normally, buybacks are the same price as the original entry cost, and there is only one.

So you say the guy that broke the target calls the next target?

Your question is how do others play an Annie. Clubs in my area do three versions of the Annie. Most popular is the "pond" No rotate, single elimination break a target next gun can hit a piece for a bye next guy calls. One gun at a piece. overshoot your out. "Straight Annie" single elim. Got to be shot out. Must call your own bird. No pieces no bye. overshoot your out. "bluebird annie" same as a pond except hit a piece puts the guy(s) out!

Guess your question was more about a double elimination and who calls.
When we do a double elimination first guy shoots from A post then goes to the end of the line each shooter steps to the A post for his call. When the first shooter gets back to the front he calls from the B post. Each shooter gets one loss. If a shooter has no losses and a bird gets broken after his shot he goes to the end of the line doesn't call his bird that round. Could two, three or more guys that go back to the end without calling their own that round. The shooter that breaks it must step to the front and call. Two losses your out.
