Anyone else notice that says it comes with a gauge change set of your choice? That sounds like it comes ready to load 2 gauges. Can't imagine many trap shooters really want that....but it would explain the big price jump.

If they ever went out of business, the best thing that could happen to them would be for MEC to buy out the product line.

Have you ever looked at all the stuff MEC makes other than the outdoors line? They could produce the same loader at a fraction of the cost, just due to their size. They would just need to commit to keeping the same quality standard.

Does Spolar actually make the reloader parts, or do they simply assemble them? I heard they were originally made by "out-of-work" aircraft parts manufacturers.

The less of that machine they actually produce, the more they are at the mercy of outside vendors.

I, too, hope they survive, as I want there to be parts available if I ever need them, but I do fear a $4800 reloader has a very limited audience......very limited.

Amusing responders.

People will go out and buy an $80,000.00 dollar pickup or some other over priced vehicle and tell you ever single virtue (supposedly) that vehicle has (wether you want to know or not). A item that has more foreign parts than American. But then an American ma n pa company reflects sign of the times necessary pricing and lil sarcastic remarks are made! Go figure.
What you're missing is the fact that all the other competitors are charging $80k for a fully loaded truck as well, so it's not like you can simply switch brands and get one for a fraction of the price.....with reloaders, you can....and people will.

I loaded on MEC's for years. Primer feed was a recurrent problem, fixable, but a pain.
If you bought a Spolar, load on it 20 years, it costs you $240/year or $20/month. Hydraulic $2,300 is $115/year or $9.60/month.

However, pulling on the handle for old shoulders can be :

What is the average cost of a shoulder replacement surgery?

Typical costs: Shoulder replacement surgery typically costs $7,000-$21,000 or more, depending on the type of implants used and the hospital in which the procedure is performed.
Don't really see the point of this post, since you can load with both Hydraulics or electric drive on a MEC......
