I don't have clubs that close to me, I normally shoot at our school trap field which is a few miles away. The closest "club" is an hour away. Just wondering how far most of you go to have fun a couple times a week.

Since we moved down here, I joined Ft. Worth Trap and Skeet. It is exactly 70 miles from the house. It takes me about 1 hour and fifteen minutes to get over there, depending on traffic. I-20 can be a nightmare eastbound going in and a worse nightmare going home. Iowa Park Gun Club is about an hour and 45 minutes. It is up west of Witchita Falls, Texas.
4 clubs under 30 minutes
At least 10 with in an hour
Maybe 20 with in 3 hours
And thats just trap. More if you start counting sporting clays and pistol. There are a several rifle ranges, but only a few in the state that have longer than 200yds.
Pretty sure I live in one of the best places for competitive shooting.

15 minutes to my home club. (Portland Gun Club, since 1913)
30 minutes to Hillsboro Trap and Skeet, where I'm also a member.

Just over an hour north to the club I belong to but there's a primitive one about twenty minutes south, another about thirty minutes south of that and one more another thirty minutes. There's a club forty minutes north, another about an hour and a half north and west, another club just over two hours north of my house, with the last ones being three hours north and four hours north and west respectively.
Belong to two clubs. One is 50 miles away but ,only has one field and does not hold registered shoots. The other is on a military base 55 miles away. Has 2 traps and does hold registered shoots.
Summer club is 16 miles. Winter club is where I stay. I can roll out of bed and walk to the trap line, but I take my cart!
