I was reading another thread about flinching and in one of the replies it was suggested that the poster might have an issue with eye dominance switching.
I know one of the things that has effected me since getting back into shoot gunning a couple of months ago is vision. My dad tried to teach me to aim at things then my mother taught me how to do it right, lol, both eyes open, look at what you want to hit, point at it if you will and shot it.
So I have two "problem" targets... from 1,2,4 and 5 those "straight" away targets that actually angle to the left or right a bit. And from time to time the hard left/right.
I normally get dust even an illegal hard left or right, but sometimes its like I "bobble" in my swing and I feel like my vision just kind of blanks out for a split second and I end up shooting behind. It's very similar on my straight away target, its like little micro second blank in my vision with a bobble in my swing.
When my vision "blanks" its not like it goes black or anything like that, it just feels like I missed a micro second or so of seeing things, like a video editor cut a part out.
I hate the idea of going to an obscured lens to force a single eye, but I also am tied of missing when I know that I can shoot 25's.
So what's the technique to determine if this is my problem or not?
