The Line FBI Officers are livid with Comey.

The atmosphere at the FBI has been toxic ever since Jim announced last July that he wouldn't recommend an indictment against Hillary,' said the source, a close friend who has known Comey for nearly two decades, shares family outings with him, and accompanies him to Catholic mass every week.

Some people, including department heads, stopped talking to Jim, and even ignored his greetings when they passed him in the hall,' said the source. 'They felt that he betrayed them and brought disgrace on the bureau by letting Hillary off with a slap on the wrist.'

According to the source, Comey fretted over the problem for months and discussed it at great length with his wife, Patrice.

He told his wife that he was depressed by the stack of resignation letters piling up on his desk from disaffected agents. The letters reminded him every day that morale in the FBI had hit rock bottom.”

He deserved this for what he did. Had he conducted a proper investigation by not sitting on evidence, or by not refusing to turn the evidence over to a Grand Jury instead of letting Hillary just slide by yet again.
He was afraid of bringing down the 1st female Presidential candidate and interfering in the electoral process instead of just doing his job.
It's a hard job with hard no win choices for people like him in positions of power. But that's why he got the position in the first place

Sounds like a mountain of weak excuses. He should have taken his oath seriously in the first place to protect the US citizens from these lawbreakers that have jeopardized our national security.

This is a good example of something someone who is very wise always says.

The cover up is always worse than the initial offense.

Not that Comey covered anything up, but in his desire to not to bring down the first female candidate and interfere with the electorial process, he may have done just that only ten times worse than it would have been in July. He could have recommended an indictment and Miss Loretta could have said no. He would be off the hook and the old hag would be on her way to the white house.

Speaking of the first female president, has anyone learned anything about what happens when people feel compelled to elect the "first something"?

Sooooo....what we are left with is that after taking "the deal"....WHATEVER it was.... to provide the necessary COVER for Loretta Lynch back in July, Comey all of a sudden finds a way to TRY to resurrect a tiny amount of morale and respect withing the agency by trotting out this meaningless "letter to Congress" to assuage his own guilty feelings.
SORRY....just SORRY. Too little too late.
In July, Comey started his presentation by stating that the FBI's investigation was all about FACTS...not opinions. Then the man spent, what...15 0r 20 minutes DETAILING violations of law and LIES told by Hillary Clinton. At the end of his presentation, pretty much every objective viewer, including a LOT of lawyers and former prosecutors were thinking "she's toast", when all of a sudden...Comey expresses HIS OPINION...( remember what he said about opinions..????)
that "no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges". That statement friends and neighbors provided the COVER for Lynch...(Remember the incredibly inappropriate "secret meeting" she and Bill Clinton had just enjoyed...????)
We'll probably never know what deal was made, what threats were issued...but you better know this whole thing stinks and is the very definition of corruption. What's especially troubling at this point in the campaign is that a LOT of Americans can still support sending the Clinton Crime Family back to the White House.
THAT should scare the hell out of every one of us.

Well it seems like we're starting to find out the truth. Comey wanted to press charges but was told by Lynch it wasn't going to happen. Lynch is his boss. He basically made the strongest case he could right up to the opinion, using words I'm sure he chose very wisely. He had to walk a fine line.

Think about it. As many lawyers and AGs have said they heard enough from Comey to have a grand jury. Lynch could have done the same as well but it was already decided.

Look back at what happened on Thursday/Friday. Lynch again advises him to stand down. Why do you think Comey did what he did by writing to Congress. Lynch in no way shape of form is going to order him not to do that, even Lynch will not go that far. Comey worked the system the best way he could to bring this back under investigation and got the warrant he needed. With 650,000 emails he's going to have some smoking guns and probably emails that will blow the immunity the DOJ handed out like candy. He's finally fighting back, best he can from the box he was originally thrown into.

That's at least one explanation of what has happened. Time will tell, but maybe, just maybe Comey wasn't the bad guy we were all thinking.

I don't feel sorry for him, he could have given up his own job if he wanted to. Think about the millions lost with those resignations. That equates to lost money spent training and replacing each agent. Screw him. As much as people hated and made fun of Hoover, if he was still in office, Hillary Bill and all the other Clinton minions would have been put in jail in the 90's and might be getting out just about now.

Correct. Comey should have recommended prosecution in July and let the chips fall where they may. After all, the corrupt Loretta Lynch had already said she would leave it up to him.

Perhaps the FBI had to buy time and get confirmations? Outer picture vs inner workings? Comey had to have legal advice, perhaps the best in the world...

It's becoming more and more apparent Comey was shutdown earlier by Lynch and the DOJ.
This is what "whistle blower FBI agents are saying" in both the server and foundation cases.

Comey should have come out and demanded that Hillary be indited, instead he cowed to the crooked Obama administration. He deserves all the flack he is getting.

I have never wished anyone to go to prison more then Clinton. I cant even believe people would elect this women much less put the last president impeached back in the white house as first man. It's to bad the senate didn't get the 2/3 needed to remove his corrupt butt.

No Comey's only job was to conduct the investigation then refer it to the Justice Dept for prosecution. He was the goat and accepted that role even though he did not have to. He is the one in the spotlight, not Lynch.

BTW, yeah the game is rigged. The person in the Justice Dept who will take the results of this latest investigation and decide if prosecution is necessary is a good friend of Podesta. Think anything will happen this time? Dream on.
