This is the first of two polls. I am on the BOD for my local club and we are struggling to chart a course of action as we decide whether or not to temporarily close the facility. Hopefully, this will provide some helpful information for clubs making the same decision.

Yes, yes, yes and yes - two local R&P clubs and both the local county and AFB T&S ranges have closed due to the virus - and a directive Tues from our gov for all non-essential businesses (including recreational) to close for 30 days. Today, though, the gov says that his directive was not an "order" - just a recommendation. Unfortunately once done, there will be resistance to undoing the closures.

I answered no, but I belong to two clubs. One is public and is only open on Wednesday and Saturday. That club is closed.

The other is a private club that is open daylight til dark 7 days a week. That one is still open. Not sure how many people are going though.

I am on the board for our club. Based in federal and state guidelines we felt we needed to suspend all group activities. Club is still open for individual member use.
But no trap for us.

We voted to suspend our winter league(5 weeks left) and close the club for 2 weeks with a evaluation meeting after that. We have a lot of members over 60 and many that shoot our league(480 shooters) so telling them that we are going to keep the club open and shoot league when it is higher risk for them to be there esp. for those with various existing lung conditions is not something we want to do.

I have been on the BOD of our local club for 20 years and always evaluate and make choices that I feel are best for the membership, so when you have people that have been away on spring break and have been in areas that have a higher infection rate than where we are in MT. the risk is greater to bring it back.

The county that I live in has order the shut down of all bars-restaurants-casinos-health clubs etc. for 2 weeks so ultimately we would have had to shut down anyway we just ended up doing it a few days sooner.

I belong to two clubs and one is closed and one is still running as far as I know, but I expect it to close as well by the weekend.
All the other clubs within 1 1/2 hours drive are all closed here in Southern Ontario.
Its a great shame that all the final Winter league shoots have been cancelled, but we need to stop this virus as soon as possible and protect our members and their family's health.
Devonian.

Yes, for all the places I shoot, Bull Run Shooting Center, PG Trap and Skeet, and NRA HQ, all closed through at least the first week of April, probably more.
