EAST GRANBY, Conn. – The Hartford Gun Club will sponsor its 41st Annual President’s Cup Shoot, Sunday, May 1, at the club grounds here. The program and practice will begin at 9 a.m.
Two events -- 16-yard singles (100 targets, five classes) and handicap (100 targets, four yardage groups) – will be shot on three banks of two fields each. Doubles (50 pair, four classes) will be shot on a separate field any time during the day.
Entries for singles close at 10 a.m., and handicap at 1 p.m.
The high combined score of singles and handicap will win the cup. The winner’s name will be engraved on the perpetual cup retained on HGC premises. The option must be entered with Event 1. One money, ties must shoot off. A shooter must play the purse to win the cup.
Winners of each class in singles will receive $100, one money, ties shoot off. Each handicap yardage group winner will receive $125, one money, ties shoot off. Each class winner in doubles will receive $25.
