Yes, I am familiar with it.
I am considering forming the Conservatartian Party.
Obviously people liek us just can't get any love from the Republicans or Democrats. One wants to destroy America quickly (Dems) and the other wants to destroy it slowly (Rep).
People, however, are lazy Brian; not only in regards to action, but intellectually lazy as well (ts.com regularly proves my point). Nothing will change until it is too late. Stock up on supplies and guns/ammo.
It really surprises me how many people I meet who think/assume Southpark is about nothing but potty humour. I'm pretty sure you know I'm a first time bar passer and California lawyer Brian. My wife is not only a lawyer and got admitted to a top-ten law school (Boat Hall at Cal Berkely), but was admitted to two top-ten medical schools as well (UCSD and UCSF). I'm sure you can appreciate what that takes.
We both agree that Southpark is the smartest, most intellectual show on television. Of course, our exposure to most popular shows is admittedly limited, but we do catch a piece now and then especially at friends' houses.
I'm fairly certain that the Southpark guys are very libertarian leaning and while I don't think they like republicans much, it is clear that despise not only democrats, but Hollywood elites with a passion.
I'm not saying they are the most thoughtful, smartest, or wisest people involved in making television shows. But I am saying they deliver the most thoughtful, wisest, and smartest programing.
While it is neither here nor there, my wife studies the history of christianity as a hobby (we are both nerds to be sure, but at least I'm a 6' tall, 200# nerd with a 33" waist that can put you in a choke-hold if you make fun of me) and we are regularly fascinated with Parker and Stone's ability to regularly defend religion while ridiculing religions. They do it, in our opinion, quite deftly.
Cheers, and good night.
