ALL SHOOTERS BEING EQUAL SHOULD SHOOT HANDICAP FROM 27 YARDS ! JUST HAVE CLASSES AS IN SINGLE EVENTS ! AAA AA A B C , Private shoots require options
To shoot also not just the birds . You have that option with ATA . Move all shooters back to 27 yards and look at the scores then , Everyone shoots 16 everyone being equal . Money shooters keep classes separated or have 1 generic
Class for money shooters if you are feeling froggy at that shoot . Move them all back and get better shooters .

Kelley, Handicap is a completely different game than singles and with a different format. In singles and doubles the shooter is pitted against contestants of relatively equal skill based on averages and NOT against the entire field of shooters. In Handicap it is a game of every person on the field competing against the entire group of contestants but will be at different yardage intended to relatively balance the competition. One result is while winning a singles class and playing the optional purse, you might be lucky to win the money to pay for lunch and trophies are watered down since there are 4, 5, or 6 classes. On the other hand, winning a handicap, the optional purse will be considerably bigger and there is just one winning trophy of much more value. The fix for those that can't live with the Handicap format is to simply not shoot Handicap. Otherwise, it is exactly what it was meant to be, a competition for every shooter to compete against the entire field....breakemall....Bob Dodd
