I'm using 1 oz claybuster 4100 wads with #8 was wondering how many grains of green dot should be used for the altimate load at 16 yds .I presently use 17.5 grns but feel it's response time is not there should I be using more powder Thanks
I use Federal Gold Medal plastic hulls, Fed 209A primer, 12SO clone, and 19.0 grains of Green Dot. I do not own a chronograph, so the velocity I am not sure of (probably 1150 to 1200 fps)but this is a very nice load, recoil in my 9 plus pound gun is fine.
He Haw,do a search on here about GD powd..You can read and learn ALOT.
Follow receipe close, check powd. drops with a beam scale, dont trust bushing
