The very most important aspect of a Trump win is filling vacancies in the Supreme Court. As much as everyone is happy Trump won, the most powerful position in this country is being a Supreme Court Justice who is appointed for life. So, let's get Trump sworn in and day two start filling those vacancies!

hmb and all:

Every time I hear that "she" won the popular vote, I always wonder the same thing. "Who would have won if fraudulent votes (dead people, illegals and others not legally qualified to vote, multiple votes cast by an individual, doctored vote counts, etc.) were deducted from 'her' total?"

Yes, States that issue driver's licenses to IA's and motor voter registration are going to be the chief cause for voter fraud.

The key is the electoral college that most do not understand. If we did not have this system, people living in the 20 major cities (most of the US population) could and probably would determine who the POTUS would be for every presidential election. If you resided outside of these areas, your votes basically wouldn't count.

Even with the electoral college states like CA, WA, OR and NY get devastated because of huge democrat BLUE populations in the major cities and NYC who overwhelm the rest of the voters in those states. NY in area is generally all RED but most of the population of NYS resides within the five burros of NYC and therefore it always goes BLUE due to this extreme BLUE population of NYC.

States like Florida do not have these issues as the population is spread more equally across the ENTIRE state.

Folks in upstate NY have been furious for years due to so many people leaving (population diminishing upstate due to NO industry or manufacturing) and having to deal with decisions made by voters of NYC.

It's actually very interesting to see WI, MI and PA now going RED, it shows the former larger cities in these states who HAD predominantly BLUE populations in the past, where industry USED TO exist have diminished due to the lack of industry and manufacturing and the populations have spread more equally across these states. Voter turn out in these areas is of course critical.

Personally I believe a valid US issued Birth Certificate, a valid US Passport, or a valid US Naturalization Certificate should be required to vote in ANY government election in the US. It's for US Citizens, no one else.

The popular vote has too many variables that can be screwed around with.

The electoral vote has more limitations.

Checks and balances need to remain especially when non citizens especially in large cities are throwing the vote one way or another.

If you like your system you can keep your system. I say keep it.

Hillary favored doing away with the Electoral vote in favor of popular vote.

Why should we pattern ourselves after a communist system of (rigged) popular vote thinking it is a new and exciting system, when we have a proven system of checks and balances that more often than not, works?
