Can anyone give me a referral as to who to do a Gold Satin finish job on a pair of 90-T side plates that are in the "White" . I just got them back from Barthalow Engraving ....Thanks.

Very nice Okie. Ive tossed around the idea of doing a gold plating much like the Precision Gold triggers on my Perazzi receiver.

I have a pair on my main 90-T with the Gold satin finish but I don`t know who did them . I`m thinking Doug Breaker . I just think the engraving would stand out better with the gold than if they were blued . The gold plates look really nice with a gold hinge pin , trigger , & forearm latch like on my main gun .

Call Gary Alfermann....we used a satin gold on a few guns years ago. I don't remember the coating, but he will....314.520.0798

Tremclad has satin gold in a spray can.
But, you're going to want to do 3 or 4 coats so it does't look cheap.

If you plate them you're going to lose all of the shadowing. Talk to the engraver to see if he can put the shadows back after the plating.

Bluing, or better yet, case hardening (Turnbull) would provide more class than a 'gold' plating. Good luck.

You’d have to talk with your engraver and see what he says. After an item is engraved the engraver uses an ink like product that is applied and then selectively wipes off to add details to the piece.
