And it's a 6mm! I wouldn't be afraid to guess that might be the rarest chambering for that model and it's a great cartridge to boot. I just shot my new gun mad money on another Remington or I would be a buyer.

Fairly easy modification to increase performance would be to step it up to a 6mm Ackley Improved. Sharper shoulder angle increases powder capacity and performance. One of THE Best varmint rounds there is.... IMHO....

I owned a 788 in .308 with the action bedded and the stock barrel floated it was a tack driver.... I'm absolutely focused on improving my trap scores so no rifles in my near future.. If there was... This would be a serious contender.
