For Sale: Perazzi MX-8 Barrel

I bought this barrel at the end of last year from Rich Bullard and planned on shooting Skeet with it. Since then, I sold the gun, so I don’t need the barrel!

This barrel has a low tapered rib, is 29 ½ inches, the weight is 1.56 kg and the bore is 18.4. It has Briley installed choke tubes and is otherwise unmodified. The previous owner used it as a carrier barrel so when I bought it from Rich there was only a set of cylinder chokes. I bought one Full and two Skeet chokes that have never been used.

This barrel has a serial number of 88,xxx and date code of BC which means that it was proofed in 1993. From the looks of the lugs, this barrel hasn’t seen much use and is in great condition. It has recently been given a re-bluing that was very well done and is factory original in appearance. The only wear in the bluing is under the forearm and is so minor that the barrel must have received little use since it was redone. The only other issue to report is a tiny nick on the edge of the rib which you can see in the second picture.

Thanks, John

The term "Carrier Barrel" is used to denote a barrel that has been reamed out so far that it is no longer safe (or able) to shoot 12ga ammo in it. If done by someone who knows what they are doing the ejectors are also modified so the gun won't close on a 12ga shell.

It's only purpose is to hold sub-gauge skeet tubes.
