Came across some Remington SP20 and WAA20 F1-20Ga. wads. They are old but still seem plyable. I also inherited some Win 540 ball powder and some Unique powder. Can anyone sugest any loads that can be made up with these components that would be suitable for informal clay target shooting using curent inexpensive Federal cases? I do have some old style (red) AA cases too.

The SP20 and WAA20F1 are 1 oz wads, so look to the Alliant website for reload data, and to the Hodgdon website:

I did not see any Alliant 1 oz loads using Unique. You may have to use HERCO or Blue Dot, and then only in Remington and Winchester hulls.

Hodgdon does list some 1 oz loads in Federal hulls using HS-6. HS-6 is the same powder as 540.

I might add that both these wads are for tapered hulls, and may not give the best performance in a straight walled hull like Federal.
