Years back, I bought a used P-gun on this site. The forearm came with this engraved iron.

Also agree that it looks like Bill Main's work. If he did the receiver as well, it is likely signed on the underside in a discrete , but legible manner. He was doing that from at least the early 70's forward. If the number on your forearm doesn't match the receiver, then you have little choice but to compare the scrolls and general pattern to his known/signed works. Better pics will help in making a positive identification, in that regard. He did a lot of work for trap and flyer shooters for many years and developed a style that was his alone. I too miss his presence.
