If it goes down like this, completely a disaster for the country on many levels. But hey the rich will get theirs......

The rich will get a 14.2 and 13.5% tax break the middle class will get between 1.2 and 2.2%

HERE: For some in middle class, Trump plan would mean tax increase

Why some vote against their own interests is beyond me........A complete disaster this will be.

But Lily Batchelder, a visiting fellow at the Tax Policy Center and former deputy director of President Barack Obama's National Economic Council, estimates that roughly 7.9 million families with children would pay higher taxes under his proposals. About 5.8 million are led by single parents. An additional 2.1 million are married couples.
Other analysts, including economists at the conservative Tax Foundation and right-of-center American Enterprise Institute, have agreed with Batchelder's conclusions.

Trump is correct...it's rigged!

How do you think that clusterf**k was going to be financed?

Coulda, shoulda, woulda scare tactics. Why don't you wait, give things a try and come back in a year or so and tell us how bad things are then...................... or not.

Just because a journalist states in a yahoo article that someone agrees does not necessarily mean they agreed. Journalists lie on a regular basis. You are obviously a "if it's on da innerwebs, it must be true" idiot reader.

And did you miss this little detail in your link? "Still, Trump's plan will likely evolve during congressional negotiations before it becomes law."

This comment being entirely foreign to a "let's pass this bill so we can see what's in it" bulls**t. They will likely tweek it before it gets enacted.

Form this day forward, I am going to refer to you as Yoda.

I guess it will not matter if Trump's tax plan gets through or not, either way you will pay more in taxes than Trump will.........his, which is zero.

Yes I read that part too Midi, the problem is it's no problem to find a group, a scholar, a scientist, an analyst, or whatever fits the bill to agree or disagree with anything anybody puts out there, there's somebody literally behind every rock waiting with their credentials in hand to get their name in the paper. And so many have lined up for so long anyone who is not a sceptic at this point should be.

How many in the middle class are already paying 35% like the "rich" you refer to? How many in the 35% bracket worked their ass off seven days a week and put their financial and family well being on the line to get where they are at and provide jobs for those taxpayers in the middle class? They are not all dishonest crooks like the libs may refer to them as.

All speculation based on incomplete data thrown out there to try to diminish the magnitude of the Trump win complete with coattails.

From the article:

""If you're a low- or moderate-income single parent, you're going to get hurt," said Bob Williams, a fellow at the Tax Policy Center.

".....Trump's plan will likely evolve during congressional negotiations before it becomes law."

"This is not anywhere close to a final plan," Williams said.

The reason these guys like Bob Williams from the Tax Policy Center are saying this, is they are scared to death for their jobs. A simplified tax code puts a lot of tax lawyers, tax policy centers and tax loophole lobbiest's out of work. That will be THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE getting any tax reform, the lobbyists, tax attorneys and tax preparation businesses. Consider the sources saying this crap. The cost of preparing taxes runs into the billions every year, providing jobs for those who can wade through the tax code to allow people like Trump, Buffet, Soros et.el. pay zero in taxes.

This is a bit of a stretch at best. Of course it's put together by a "liberal economic council" showing a specific case/circumstance. It assumes the tax payer/family will not alter their tax strategy at all (stupid). I could go on...

First of all under Obama you may presently have an ACA health "tax" you have to pay of about $2500 if you don't have health insurance and don't want it so this needs to be figured in for some people. You also have a 3.8% ACA tax as well on certain investment income that will go bye-bye under Trump as well. So you may right off the back shake both these taxes.

Trump's plan will more than double the standard deduction to $15,000 for singles and $30,000 for married taxpayers, from the current levels of $6,200 and $12,400, respectively. Because of this increase, the personal exemption would be eliminated, as would the head of household tax filing status. However if you are a high income earner and have a mortgage or other high health costs and legal deductions you can still itemize your deductions, capped at $100,000 for single filers or $200,000 for joint filers.

Trump also wants to offer a larger deduction for child care expenses, planning to implement an above-the-line deduction that will be capped at the state average for care, and would be limited to a maximum of four children per taxpayer vs the current two children. He also wants to offer additional child care incentives for lower-income taxpayers.

So under very specific situations yes your taxes could be slightly higher. However, if you plan your tax liability/strategy you can come out a head as well. This is especially true if you are self employed or part owner of a company.

The math of the study shown is a bit misleading. It's best if each person compares for themselves and does the rough calculation to see how the tax plans directly affect them.

I hate articles like this where one person quotes someone else and says yet another group agrees when it's a very specific case. It's misleading at best and inaccurate at worst.

In any event Trumps plan for the Middle Class is still better than what Hillary proposed. Remember this: www.nationalreview.com/article/438788/hillary-clinton-tax-plan-middle-class-tax-hikes

Thank you Trapper for getting it.

If I get this so called tax break I will immediately hire three or more employees.

And I will spend more on goods and services so you can pay those employees, save some it so the banks can make loans to consumers, home buyers and small business startups and expansion.

It will be a bargain to live in a free country again.

I'll take a tax increase if it means Hillary is out. Drain the swamp!

Thanks everyone for seeing how deplorable this would be for the country. Yes it might change. If it does not you voted for it take ownership. It was Trumps plan all along.

My, my. The next tax plan has not even been passed yet, and already
self proclaimed experts are telling us what is in it, as if they actually
knew what they are talking about. These are the same experts that
said Travon Martin was murdered, and Michael Brown was murdered.
Yet when the investigation was over, they were killed in self defense,
not murdered. Same morons are now telling you what is going to be
in the next tax plan. They don't really have a clue. We will find out
soon enough. There is plenty of time to react after it happens. why
not wait and see?
