To save any spilled shot I take my shop vac and put a loop in the hose. Suck up the shot and the shot stays in the bottom of the loop and everything else goes in the shop vac. Works for me. Ray

Here's another tip:

If you know any police departments that use Federal buckshot hulls and you a friend of one of the cops ask them to save you the hulls. They are the same hulls that Federal uses for their Gold Medal loads. The PDs generally throw them out as they have no reclaimation/scrap value like brass does. They reload very nicely.

We had hundreds if these. They were trash, most split on the initial firing.
