David, a suggestion if I may. When the OP deletes his thread would it be possible to delete the whole thing instead of having a thread making a statement and then the OP deletes the statement but the title stays there? For example there is a thread on now about somebody owing $5 bucks but the message is deleted and the headline stays.

Upon further reflection...Neil is right.

Longshorts finds himself on the wrong end of many situations like that depicted in the photo above. Why deprive posterity of the notoriety he works so hard to earn?

I believe there was a time when you could delete your initial post in a thread and if no one else had responded the whole thing went away. I thought it was a good feature, but the last time I tried it, it didn't work. People change their minds. Why not give them that flexibility if they do so early enough?

You can change the "Subject" before you delete your thread.
