I seem to get it anyway. Last two years I did not get a shot and never got sick so I am going to pass this year. My doc says it will only protect you from certain strains and is not 100% effective but he still advises it. ( I asked him if he gets one, he said yes, I asked about his wife as she is also a doc and she does not get one)seems it is all a matter of opinion
I was plagued with repetitive, upper respiratory infections every late fall through mid winter during my 30s, 40s, and into the 50s. I finally decided to try the flu shots and have not had a single event resembling flue or those debilitating infections since. For me it's an easy question - YES!.......breakemall.....Bob Dodd
49 years old and had the flu exactly twice in my life. Two years back to back. Never had the shot. You figure out what's best for you. If you are at higher risk due to age or poor health, probably not a bad idea but I'm not a big fan of unnecessary immunizations.
