I'm 65 and never had a flu shot. I'm quite healthy and seldom even have a cold. I'm considering getting a flu shot tomorrow. Good idea or not?

A flue shot could keep you shooting more this Winter. I had even thought about awarding flue shots as trophies at our next registered shoot but I am not sure that is a good idea.

I seem to get it anyway. Last two years I did not get a shot and never got sick so I am going to pass this year. My doc says it will only protect you from certain strains and is not 100% effective but he still advises it. ( I asked him if he gets one, he said yes, I asked about his wife as she is also a doc and she does not get one)seems it is all a matter of opinion

This is a great place to get medical advice- there are more medical experts here than anywhere else in the country.

I was plagued with repetitive, upper respiratory infections every late fall through mid winter during my 30s, 40s, and into the 50s. I finally decided to try the flu shots and have not had a single event resembling flue or those debilitating infections since. For me it's an easy question - YES!.......breakemall.....Bob Dodd

I've went and got them ever since they became available. Never got sick and have never got the flu since.

No brainer. Get the shot.

For the past several years I have gotten a flue shot at K Mart. For the past several years I have lifted my head occasionally and missed a target. There seems to be a correlation.

49 years old and had the flu exactly twice in my life. Two years back to back. Never had the shot. You figure out what's best for you. If you are at higher risk due to age or poor health, probably not a bad idea but I'm not a big fan of unnecessary immunizations.

Yes. The grandkids come over all the time. Who knows what they are catching at school. Schools, hospitals, and airplanes are not good places to be without a flu shot. JMO.

I have gotten a flu shot every year for the last ten. I just turned 50 and haven't even had a cold in that time! Ask your doc but I'm all for it.
