Fixing barrels on new trap gun ?

I have had many a Shilen, Hart, Kreiger, etc. match grade barrel put on new rifles and similarly on 1911 pistols. So I am not opposed to the idea of spending more money on a brand new gun to improve its shooting. No one expects a true match grade barrel and its subsequent accuracy on a $500 factory rifle or a store-bought 1911.

I read so often that aftermarket barrel work has been done on a $17,000 Krieghoff K-80 Trap Special combo. Curious as to what it is that another gunsmith is going to do for the barrels that Krieghoff can not or did not do for their $17,000 ?

Do the Perazzis, Blasers, etc. also require the additional barrel work ?

Thoughts please.

most often the barrel work is a modification of the choke dimension and profiles.
a personal preference thing. It will give the gun a personality and overall lower the value, simply because not as many people want it now. A K-gun will give you all you'll ever need on the line, just like the rest of them, it is the indian not the arrow.
