I am thinking about adding a set of 20ga barrels to my 686. What are the chances they will fit without a gunsmith fitting?

I'm not sure about your area,Phill C is in Texas.Maybe someone will chime in for a good smith in your area.
You will at least need the ejectors timed.

I have been 100% with Beretta.....2 for 2. I am oddly enough 0 for 3 with Perazzi. Make sure the ejectors eject at the very top of the opening arc and you really should check headspace. A no-go headspace gauge is relatively cheap and will last a lifetime.
