Field maintenance

A question was asked at our club the other day about cleaning up wads and broken clays on the trap field. I’ve always thought that everything would breakdown overtime but I don’t really know for sure.
Does anyone make any effort to clean up their fields?

We haven't cleaned the fields, as you are imagining, for 75 years.
We mow yearly.
Knowing in this day & age that everything is available as 'bio-degradable', I have to wonder if this is always a good thing.
I had bio-degradable wads for a while & began to wonder what exactly was leaching into the ground water, not that far down at our club.
The clays will eventually break down & we have bio versions of them as well for different areas of the club.
The lead....that's a different story.
