Fewer Perazzi Dealers?
In looking at several dealer's websites, I've noticed that their Perazzi inventories are quite low, in some cases almost non-existant. Have they just let the inventories run down because it's the off season, or is there a shortage of guns coming into the country, or is something else going on? Just curious.

With the events of the past two years leading to a major change in the value of the Euro dollar, Krieghoff and Perazzi are struggling on the US exchange rate. Beretta has had similar problems but seems to be dealing with it, although their guns have jumped up in price as well.
Fo example in early 2004 a combo set that cost the dealer $8700 now COSTS the dealer $13000.00!! The Euro has had a forty percent increase on the dollar since the early part of the decade.
Perazzi has always had tight margins to the dealer. Mostly because they sold well and dealers would move a bunch of them for very little profit. With the increase in price the dealers are selling less so they are stocking less. How many guns at 10 grand a whack can you afford? A lot of folks think the dealers get the guns from the manufacturers and they pay for them later ... wrong. You get the guns you pay for them upon reciept, or at best net 30 if you have great credit and a good pay record with the company. It's not hard to have a quarter of a million or more in gun inventory these days. If the dealer can order a gun for you and not stock it you are likely to get a better prices. He won't have to lay out his cash for a gun and usually will work closer with you on your gun.
