Why the need to get off one oz loads? A lot of people I know shoot 1 oz shells for about everything, including a friend that has taken them to the 27 yard line. If he's shooting well with 1 oz, I'd let it be and save his shoulder. Consider 9/8 oz if he's hitting long yardage and you're worried about pattern density.

Well, a few reasons for me. First, I’m a fan of throwing more bb’s at the target. Second, the boy wonder will be sixteen this summer. So I was hoping to try the low 8’s for handicap and stick with the extra lights for singles and see how he responded. If he felt too much kick, I’d stick with the extra lights for another season. But, if I ended up with heavy 8’s, I’d be stuck with those for a few more years. Fortunately, our coach got light 8s in the delivery last week. So, we’ll see how it works out…

Great job Vista Outdoors and Federal for screwing over the schools for fall trap. Instead of just selling us shells, you have to force us to buy other crap we don't need or want, oil, wipes etc. as part of the package to raise the costs even higher... keep doing what you're doing and you will be the death of this short for high schools. Nothing like a High school clay target sponsor trying to screw every dime they can out of the kids. This will be remembered and your business will suffer when people had enough of your profit-grabbing bs.

Nobody forced you to order from Vista, it clearly said what you would get in each package. We too didn't need the cleaning kits and oil but it was that or don't shoot, we gladly purchased the extras. Next season do not participate in the program and get your ammo from a cheaper source. Several teams didn't get ammo last year and would be happy to take your place in line.

I didn't get the email this season even tho I'm supposed to be on the list. What was the so called package and what did it make the price per flat?

About 84 a flat, gun cleaning kits like 8 or so, 6 cans of rem oil, a couple containers of rem oil wipes. No complaints from me I guess...
That's a bummer. Not necessarily the cleaning kits and oil just the price. They were 70 delivered this spring. Still cheaper then most places. Sure miss the days of 40 a flat. How many flats were in the package if you don't mind me asking?

I’ve emailed them multiple times trying to get some info on their program for our 4H and high school programs, I’m yet to get any sort of response. I don’t doubt they’re busy but I also don’t doubt they have less than stellar customer service.
