I have loaded 17.5 gr solo 1000 with 1 oz wad claybuster (clone of fed 1 oz wad) and 8-1/2 shot for 1st shot of doubles,worked well, very low recoil.

Should work ok for 16 yrd but might want to go up to 18 gr. Your choice.

I've been loading 18.5 Solo 1000 and Fed 12SO 1oz. with WW209 primer, for 16's, and 19 to 19.5 with same wad and primer for caps. They both work well, I think! If you call Accurate, they will copy their data and mail it to you. They told me, on the phone, I could load the Fed. Top Gun and Gold Metal hull the same. I've tried that and both break targets with authority. Accurate (Western Powders) phone number is 406-232-0422. I believe they are in Montana.

I load fed. top gun with fiochi primer 18.5 solo 1000 downrange 12so wad 1oz.#8 for 16 back to 21 22 annd gold medals with fiochi primer 20 gr. solo 1000 downrange 12s3 wad 1 1/8 oz.of 7 1/2.Both loads smoke birds with min. recoil
