I was able to score some Alliant powders in the past couple of weeks. Bought some American Select, Red Dot, and E3.

Looking at the load data on Alliant's website when using CX2000 primers all the tapered hulls HOA STS and AA only list this wad in the load data. I purchased 1000 FED 12P1 to try in my STS / AA hulls with one ounce loads and wondered if anyone has any experience with these wads. They seem pretty new to the scene.

I have been experimenting with them in Rem. GC's and STS hulls with 1 oz. of shot and Red Dot powder. They [12P1] are a bit shorter than a TGT/CB-8100 or AASL/CB-1100 wad but looking at the data they are a very efficient wad with that flared bottom but seem to have somewhat dished crimps for me even with minimal wad pressure.
About 15.5gr. is 1150fps and 16.5 is about 1200 according to the data.
I have now shot several boxes thru different guns with 16gr of R.D. and #8 Heper shot and that is a very soft shooting/hard hitting load.
One more thing is that these wads are new enough to have loading data from the newest version of Red Dot so that may account some for the low charge weights.
My 2 cents...

Have I got a Podium story for you guys! I just got my order from shopbeam.com @ $12.44 per 500 and I ordered 7000 total shipping was $19.95. I got them this morning in 14 boxes, theee different sizes! I re boxed them in two of the boxes with two bags Left over for the loading bench. Funny until I had to break down all the boxes and haul them off!
