Planning on picking up some clay dot powder tomorrow as I've read favorable reports on this site. I'm interested in some tried and true recipes . I typically load gun club and STS hulls. Thanks, Gary

Just loaded up 100 tonight - 30 mec bushing - 1 oz 8.5's - Cheddite primer and 1 ounce claybuster wad.

I have to practice skeet for a fun shoot in March at the club...

Rem Hull, 17.6 Claydot, Downrange XL-1, Noblesport Primer (or Win 209), 1 oz. #8 Mag Shot. 1225 fps 9400 psi. Super clean. SMASHES targets. Darn near the same as Didreckson.

1 oz. 8 shot
DR RT12 wad (TGT-12)
16.7 grains Claydot
CCI or Federal 209A primer

Both are in the Hodgdon data base; the difference is 1 grain of powder. The pressures are in the high 9000s.

one oz. load using AA or Rem hulls - Winchester primer, Jammer wad or Winchester pink wad and 16.3 grains of Claydot. Very little recoil and breaks targets. Oh, use 7.5 mag shot.
