Anyone have a fast 7/8 ounce 12 gauge load? Any experience with such loads? I'll be using them for sporting clays and 16 yards.

I've got a bag of the silver AA wads that I want to shoot up. Figure I'll save money on shot as well (which is my biggest expense). I could load them to 1200 fps or so but I'd like to experiment with something fast.

Looking for 1400 fps + loads. Are there any faster? There appears to be an International Clays load at 1400 fps and less than 10,000 pressure.

I load 20.0 grains of Solo 1000 with 7/8oz shot with Fiochi primer and 1oz claybuster wads in Remington nitro, cases it sure works for me.

I load Downrange wad ,AA hull and primer ,Titewad powder @ about 1250. Breaks targets at 50 yds and sometimes more. I have shot faster shells but I feel unnecessary.

Check the Hodgdon website. Several 7/8 loads up to 1400 fps.

Titewad, WST, and International Clays.

Also check the 24 gram load data on the Hodgdon site as they have some good loads there as well and 24 gram is close enough to 7/8 ounce.

Like Big-M said, these loads are not legal for ATA Registered shooting.

A standard International load is 24 grams (Slightly under 7/8 oz.)

20.5 Grams of American Select with various wads/primers will put you at 1345 fps at +/- 8500 psi.

That is all the speed you'll ever need and there is virtually no recoil.
