Not everyone [esp. older folks] is computer literate or knows where or how to sell a gun for the most $$$.

Why does everyone always say selling guns for a friend or a widow lady? i know it's probably legit' but nobody sells guns themselves anymore. It's always someone else. There has to b an angle I'm not getting or understanding.

Sure don't need it, and really don't like the short barrels, but would give $800.oo shipped for the 101 20 ga.
IMHO,considering shape and wear, short barrels and the fixed tubes, $800 was a reasonable offer made to you.
