"What happened at the Days Inn?"
Let's see where should I begin.
First thing I noticed when walking into the room is that it's dirty and outdated and half the electrical outlets don't work. After finally finding an outlet that does work I go to log onto the internet via my laptop and find out that their wireless internet doesn't work in my room so I'm forced to go out to the lobby to use the internet every hour. The TV was terrible too, I think there were like 6 channels, 4 of them news stations and 2 of them shop at home type channels.
The key cards to get into my room only worked for 3-4 swipes, so everyday I was having to go back to the front desk to get a new card that worked.
They had a night club in the hotel, I found out after getting there, that it was open til 2am or so Fri and Saturday. The music was crazy loud and prevented me from getting sleep until 2am both nights (I need my beauty sleep). It was also the worst example of a night club I've ever seen. The drinks were over priced and I honestly believe they watered all of their liquor down.
I think there were only 2-3 rooms being stayed in by guests. When you pull into a hotel and it looks like a ghost town I guess this is a sign that you shouldn't stay there. Too bad for me, we had already paid for the room.
On the last day before we checked out the health inspector showed up for a surprise visit and was not very happy that this hotel had their pool open. Apparently they had orders from the health dept. that the pool was to remain closed until further notice. When the health inspector arrived there was a family using the pool so this obviously didn't go over well with the inspector. This made me question what else wasn't up to code that we didn't know about.
There were a few other things that really turned me off on the hotel but I can't remember all of the small things. The examples above are those that I clearly remember.
