Always have shooters ask about my hearing protection, so thought Id share my experiences with products over the years.
I've used the Walkers Razor Digital for years, excellent protection and function although I shoot low gun and found the banging on the stock distracting and would leave stock marks. ,if you do choose these I recommend the gel ear pads for coolness and comfort and you can put a strip of felt or a slim cut of a stick-on stock cheek protector along the bottom of the muff. My Son shoots at college and prefers the overall protection and ease of the on off wearing especially at cold weather shoots. At $70 this is the least expensive I've worn, bought a number of sets for friends and family and had to return 2, which Walkers honored with new replacements. I highly recommend as the least expensive item discussed here.
My 1st venture with ear buds , was a Walkers Game Ear for hunting 20 + years ago, although not applicable here, my good experience is why I stuck with Walkers products over the years. My second ear buds for clays were Walkers Silencer BT 2.0. These ear buds worked well, although with the controls on the outer face of the unit I found that they would occasionally change setting when seating in the ear. You can find these for around $150 a pair. I also had my original set of these get staticky after a year plus and Walkers also sent brand new pair as replacement.
My latest ear buds are Walkers Disrupter Bluetooth, I find them superior to the prior earbuds, with controls on the drop down tines and easy to use ,allowing for insert while pushing on the face of the product. The phone App and sound are a noticeably better quality than the Silencers, including for listening to my phone and music. I've had no issue with these in the past year of use, and highly recommend, they sell for $250 although can be found for $175 on Amazon.
I also learned a few less "romantic" but practical tricks and use Oto-ease earmold lubricant drops, a dab on your finger placed in the ear helps give a good seal. Also a men's nose hair trimmer in the ear canal helps with a good seal.
Hope my years of trial and error helps with your decision.
