Chuckie68, it was in Lagrange, Miss Police Department on June 11, 2010. Yes it was years ago but it still shouldn't have happened. It is still good to let them know that WE the public don't forget things like this.

Where was the owner?

Where was animal control?

Dog tied to a truck just trying to get away.

Seemed far from aggressive to me, an aggressive dog would have been at the end of the chain trying to eat those two idiots.

Piss poor marksmanship on top of it with delay to finish.

Poor dog had no idea WTF was going on down to its sad last "I'm sorry for what ever I did" tail wag.

It was actually LaGrange Missouri not Mississippi.

There was a federal civil rights lawsuit filed over the shooting. The owner received $50,000 in an out of court settlement. The shooter, Doug Howell was not disciplined over the issue. He is still on the force. The police department has implemented new protocol and has "trained" officers on how to handle these situations.
