Stocks are same. 1187 trap stocks have a little higher comb than newer 1100

premier trap which do not have a step rib. Forends will fit but if you have

1187 "light contour barrel" wood it may be snug for a standard weight 1100

barrel and requiire a little opening of the barrel groove.

I’m using an 1187 forend on an 1100 because it better matched the Sporting Clays stock I put on a field 1100 to shoot SC. There was a front to back movement of the barrel with the mag nut tightened. I put a 1/16 inch spacer on the gas cylinder, between the forend and the cylinder then the problem went away. I think is because the 1187 has a Gas Cylinder Collar and the forend needs to be relieved to fit, so a spacer has to be added when using on an 1100. I purchased the spacer from McMaster-Carr. I don’t remember what the part number is. You probably can get one from Home Depot.
