Seriously, how much would the Real Estate overseas have cost us if we bought out these countries outright square mile by square mile ---then did what we want? A very different war indeed if we did just that. This spending is just from August 8, 2014!

DoD: $8.7 Billion So Far Fighting ISIL in Iraq and Syria, Averaging $12.1 Million A Day

This is just ridiculous for sand, sand , sand, sand and oil production polluted areas. Are we crazy????? 169,235 square miles in Iraq and 71, 498 square miles in Syria for a total of 240,733 square miles.

Who can calculate the cost of this war per square mile?

Billions In U.S. Aid Haven't Bought Peace In The Middle East (GRAPHIC) | Huffington Post

And what about the $5 (five) billion in equipment we just left behind because it was too costly to bring back?

We are going round and round on the middle east merry go round.

http://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/files/cow/imce/papers/2016/Costs of War through 2016 FINAL final v2.pdf

Plus what we are spending on the refugees here instead of there. Are we outta our minds? We could have purchased the refugees their own land back from enemies to put the bad guys out of business then sanction them for what it is costing us. Not to mention human loss and pain and suffering.

Report: Minimum of $1 Billion Spent on Refugee Resettlement; Total Cost Closer to $10 Billion | NumbersUSA

The money bags UN could help purchase these troubled areas and refurbish them as well. Instead we have migrants, refugees and chaos.

Imagine if we spent that surplus cash exploring space.....which might solve more of our problems instead of giving us more problems.

Hold that thought about exploring space, how about we fix US cities?

Obstacles abound as 2 poor US cities consider merging

Does any of this money stuff make any sense to other than Democrats? The racial riots did it?

We are spending according to my calculations $36, 140,073.94 per square mile in Syria and Iraq and this is going on here? WHY?

At @ $1400.00 per square mile or less, for sand overseas we should have owned Iraq and Syria long ago for 240,733 square miles, $337,026,200.00

Now let's talk about racism in America....

Those pictures do not even begin to tell the story. 29 pictures do deserted buildings. There are thousands of them. Oh the stories I could tell.

It costs a lot of money to haul away and dispose of an abandoned house. They are collapsing them into the basements and fill over them with dirt.

You could pick any house you want and the city will give it to you. There is something like 100,000 abandoned houses. Devils night was stopped and the number of drug houses exploded.

They are giving away those buildings.

Approximately 1 in 37 are homeless

The bankruptcy filing for reorganization was stopped by the judge because she said it would reduce the pensions of retirees and future retirees...INCLUDING HERS...go figure. She also cited that it was dis honoring the president and she ordered her summary to be sent to the POS. Neither of theses are legal defenses for denying reorg.

Etc.......

Coming to a city near you soon.

(Explain again how the middle east is an investment into the future, I don't see it.)( What about our oil and gas and coal?)

Also coming to Puerto Rico and also articles have been written about Connecticut following Puerto Rico.
First Detroit, Now Puerto Rico, is Connecticut Next? - Connecticut Senate Republicans

And New Orleans is not repaired either although it was used in the Obama campaign as a wedge.
Or Sandy damage:
Images Of Abandoned Iconic Spots In New Orleans Urge Us Not To 'Forget' About Katrina 10 Years Later | Huffington Post

The real scandal of New York City’s Sandy recovery | New York Post

Where's the sorrow and compassion for 'American refugees' who watch their neighborhoods deteriorate?

Never mind where's the beef? Where's the money? Greenbacks? Cash? Dems care to answer?

Albums of Obama's America. What got done here? It's no wonder our servicemen and women get sick when they see this.

We send aid to all of these countries and arm our enimies. Yet we are still holding the bag for rebuilding Europe and Japan after the war. Nothing has been paid back . We need to stop foreign aid and take care of the people in our country first.

A good percentage of that money finds its way back into the coffers of the Democrat and Republican Parties to say nothing of the individual politicians. The current power structure is far worse than King George III. So, how do you think this is going to turn out?

Trump has to win. Hopefully he can organize a great effort and do what the republicans and dems failed to do in the past 28 years. If Trump doesn't complete this massive effort and if we are undisturbed by war and terrorism, then hopefully great strides will continue into the next good administration. Need to plug the old holes in the dam and
prevent new ones at the same time. The work won't get done overnight.

But don't expect everything to go smoothly it's going to be a long difficult journey back. IMHO.

How do you think it will go?

The very last photograph is that of the old Michigan Central RR station. I worked in this building for much of 1970. It was a neat old building when it was still an active train station but one could easily see that it was in serious decline. The railroad that operated it, owned 90% of it, was bankrupt. It was in a terrible location, not all that far from the center of the race riots in 1967. Sad all around.
