I know this has been discussed before, but what is the differences between the 1100 trap and an 1187 trap.

Mike, If you know it's been discussed before, have you tried the search function, or tried Google? Are you looking at buying one or the other? Can you be more specific as to what you want to know about either gun? I don't type well enough to go through all the minor differences and/or similarities of the two guns, all over again. Mark

If the guns are so similar, what was the point of the 1187?

 

[1100 REMINGTON MAN]

. I had a 1100 for 20 years before the 11-87 came out & it only took me 5 years of shooting both before I came to the conclusion the 11-87 really is better. I still use both to this day. I hunt & shoot Skeet with a 1100 & shoot Trap with a 11-87 both have been very reliable. In 35+ years of shooting Remington 1100 & 11-87 I have had one Firing Pin break, one extractor, & wore the threads of the Magazine Tube on 1100 , I have had no parts break on 11-87 yet but it is still only 25+ years old & still looks Great.
