jjv sidenote: for the record, I took this quiz and found out that I am indeed a *******

Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a *******?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.

The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children..

Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you.

You are carrying a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.

You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

..............................................................

THINK CAREFULLY AND THEN SCROLL DOWN:

Democrat's Answer :

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing!

I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.

As a (PARTY affiliation doesn't effect this) COP's kid.

You shoot him until he stops moving, or you shot him until he drops and then stand on the knife hand and throat.

The knife hand because the weapons needs to emobilized, and OH what throat? was that what I was standing on?! Was I really standing on That?

I guess this makes me a conservitive.

Thats shoot enough to be safe, yet conserve enough ammo jncase the jerk had a friend!

And therein lies the problem. Why must one align themself with one political party just because he/she likes to shoot? Back in the day, before the Democrats got all goofy, I remember shooters from both ends of the political spectrum. John Dingell, longest serving member of the House and a Democrat used to sit on the NRA board. I expect politicians get a lot of pressure from their leadership of both major parties. Maybe we need to realign the political parties. For example, anyone who really thinks the so called assault weapon ban actually banned anything should be thrown out of any deliberating body for incompetence.

I lean strongly towards the Libertarian party, but they can't seem to get themselves elected dogcatcher, plus they have some platforms I'm not supportive of (but, then, I don't support the GOP fully either). The Constitutional Party sounded interesting, until I found it should be called the Bible Thumpers Party. And I want to be able to vote in a primary, so by default that leaves the GOP, because I sure as hell ain't voting for liberal anti-gunners. (For that matter, I don't vote for Republican gun banners either.)

Right this moment, it looks like we have some, polittions with memories in Washington.

The last time that a ban was acted on, the polittions that voted it where voted out, even some from states that the ban should have pleased!

From the little I see, it sure looks like there are a bunch of Dems sitting there, passing bricks into thier undies, every time the fruit cakes say gun and ban in the same sentence.

I sure hope that I am not imagining this, but a little rattling of the voting booth, may have them ducking for cover and A lot of rattling of the voting booth my actually have them doing the right thing, and that would be a first!
