I recently purchased a Kolar Max Sporting, I tried a demo and loved the gun so I made the jump. So earlier today I looked down the barrel of the gun I bought and on the top barrel I noticed 2 partial rings inside the chamber approximately 1/8 of an inch from where the chamber meets the forcing cone. I have not yet shot the gun and thought it might be some left over residue from a test fire at the factory. After I scrubbed the area with a brush for a moment I re-inspected and the partial rings were still there. The 2 partial rings are approximately 1/4 the circumference of the chamber each. I attempted to see if I could feel a lip/ledge on them with my finger but they are too big to fit that far into the barrel. I passed an capped bic ink pen over partial rings and could not feel an edge so I dont think they are too deep and or high. I also noticed that they line up perfectly with the "stars" that are visible on the exterior of the top barrel where the mono block is joined with the barrel. My question is has anyone else experienced or seen this? Should I be concerned? I am going to call Kolar on Monday I am hoping that it is something that just needed to be polished a little more before it left the factory. It just concerned me because it lined up so well with the "stars" on the outside of the barrel and I was thinking there might be an issue with how the barrel and monoblock were put together. Any help would be great. Also I am unable to get any pictures of partial rings. I have tried but they just dont come out on the camera.
thanks
