Edit: I took some advice from many forum members who were kind enough to share their thoughts. I ended up purchasing a Browning Citori CXT 12/32/3. I do appreciate all the forum members who took the time to respond this thread. Thank you all.

I am thinking of purchasing a CZ Trap shotgun at Scheels for $2900. I welcome your thoughts on this. I know it is not as good as the Kreighoff KX-6 I sold a few years ago when I thought I was done with trap shooting, but at close to 85 y.o., I don't have the funds for another KX-6. I would be interested in something more than a Browning BT-99 which except for the hard to open and close hinge would work for me as I don't shoot trap doubles. It appears that Scheels in Johnstown, CO only has the CZ All American Trap 12 Gauge Combo O-U Shotgun in my price range. I have no problem with a used trap gun, but I don't know if Scheels has one available. TIA.

I got my All American from Briley in Dec 2024. The MSRP has gone up $400 since. The adjustable stock, big honking grip, right hand palm swell, 3 lb adjustable trigger, mid-bead, lengthened chamber taper, bolted hinge blocks, barrel ports, 5 extended black chokes (Cyl, IC, LM, Mod, IM), and travel case are standard. I added a Dewey 2 piece SS cleaning rod to my kit. All other shotguns with those features were at least 4x more in cost. The CZ accepts Blaser Spectrum chokes so I went ahead and got 2 Skeet. Sporting Clays gets the factory LM and IM chokes. Mine weighed in at 8lb 12oz. The weight is behind the hinge pins. I hand off the scatter gun to the curious and 2 things happen. 1. Oh my, this thing is heavy. 2. Oh my, this thing doesn't recoil. I set the POI for 60/40, #8 shot delivers good patterns, and it regularly smokes clays when I do my part.

First impressions. Bottom barrel first took a minute to appreciate. Transitions to the 2nd shot are under control. Close and lockup remains tight and solid. I don't have any issues seeing around the barrel.

Final thoughts. I can theoretically fire 10-20K rounds, Briley will take it back, service it with drop-in factory replacement parts, and get me back in the game. When I find something better with at least that many features, then I'll buy it.
