St. Louis Trapshooter and McDonnel-Douglas machinist Harry McKay made 17 custom break-open competition trap shotguns in the late 1960's. Some consider these to be "predecessors" to the later Alfermann style break open shotguns; also made in Missouri..

Looked at It...Fabulous...True Artwork from a Time when There were Some Very Talented Machine Workers..Have Never Seen and or Heard of that Gun. Very Nice...Thanks for The History Lesson. Bart

The gun's builder, Mr. McKay, has been deceased for many years. If parts were needed in the future, they would have to be made. However, the mechanism is simple and straightforward. The gun is in excellent condition, and doesn't require any work. Thanks for your inquiry.
