For your consideration, I am offering a full house custom 1911 commander style 1911, in 2 calibers! This gun was hand built by me in my Gunsmithing shop. I used only the very best parts in the build, starting with a Caspian Frame, and two Caspian slides. One in blue finish for the .45, and one in stainless for the 9 mm. As a professional gunsmith for over 35 years and in previous years, a Colt warranty station, I have built well over 300 custom 1911 pistols in various calibers over the years, and have modified and repaired many, many more.
The frame and slides were hand fitted and lapped to fit. They readily interchange on the frame. I used an Ed Brown match grade barrel and bushing for the .45 and a Briley spherical bushing 9 mm barrel and bushing, to obtain the optimum in accuracy in both calibers.
The frame was fitted with a Caspian hi grip beavertail safety, Videki trigger, Colt sear, disconnector, extractor, Wilson full length one piece guide rods, and a Wilson skeleton hammer. The trigger pull weight was regulated to 3 lbs as this was to be a carry gun. The frame was checkered to 20 lines per inch.
Both slides were milled for Novak fiber optic low mount sights, and the ejection ports were lowered and faired for positive ejection without damage to the brass, for the reloaders. The rear of both slides are serrated at 30 lines per inch, and were milled with French borders. The stainless 9mm slide has the top serrated while the .45 slide top was matted in the Armand Swensen style, along with the serrated rear and french borders.
I built a set of custom grips from exhibition grade Walnut, and checkered them 22 lines per inch.
The complete package includes the gun and extra slide assembly, 3 magazines each in .45 and 9 mm, and a ballistic nylon carry case that will hold all the parts and magazines. This gun functions flawlessly, and will group under 3 inches at 50 yards from a ransom rest. There is a 90 day parts and labor warranty on this gun.
Selling price is $2500.00 delivered to your FFL holder in the lower 48. Sorry, no California sales.
Partial trade/cash considered for Winchester SX-1, 30 Carbine, M-1 Garand, Mini-14, 10-22 Ruger.
