Just wondering what concerns everyone has on the possibility that this years hunting could be affected by the virus limiting or cancelling hunting in or out of your state. In Washington State, Spring bear, Turkey and All Fishing is shut down right now with no plains to open back as of now

I really appreciate it it’s going to be a tough year but by the grace of God we will get through it.

I would hope there will be no impact. Perhaps 6 folks won't want to crowd into a cabin at bird camp in the fall, but that shouldn't have any impact on the ability to hunt. Maybe it's time to think about another slide-in camper for the truck. My last one I parted with in 1980. Whitetail hunting is about as solitary as it can get, at least for me.

Looks like spring turkey is a 'go' so far here in New Hampshire; Spring Turkey Season and Youth Turkey Weekend Currently Scheduled to Proceed in New Hampshire

I'm looking forward to May 1st - 'stay at home' order or not, since there's a large group of birds here on my property just about every day. 7 toms in the last gathering about 150 yards south of the house. One particularly fearless and annoying bird I've nicknamed 'Tommy Fu', for obvious reasons. The end is neigh, Tommy...

Comment I made on another board is it’s just a buddy and me that go west every year. If one of us need to ride in the bed of the truck to maintain social distance that is what we will do as we will be going!

It’s just the first week of April, springtime, and I’m trying to survive and get a garden out.
Fall is just to far off for me to worry about the what if’s.

Everything I have or considered planned is on hold. With this situation so fluid, changing at times by the hour, things accepted as fact becoming yesterdays myths, how can anyone plan anything solid? All of that said, I do not intened to live my life forever in a bubble. I do believe we must self isolate at this time, but also believe the woods or a lake by myself are acceptable places to do that. I hope this is not as they suggest a high likelihood that it becomes the “new normal”.

Well PBG...I think it is just because we have a socialist Governor. We are the only state calling off seasons. At this point it is not about public safety, it is about control and all the sheep are lying down.

The Supreme Court just ruled that hunting is considered an “essential activity” during this or any other pandemic.
I think she wants me out of the house.

You hit the nail on the head and I'm not one to be lying down. This is just more mismanagement by the Governor and WDFW and one more reason I don't hunt in this state anymore. I can't think of any place safer than in your boat fishing or out in the woods hunting away from other people.

It appears that most states are not restricting hunting hope that continues this fall. Can’t imagine hunting is a high risk unless large number of people are packed into tight quarters

You in Hawaii. They cancelled the rifle part of deer season here. It started with the stay at home order in March, after the Archery, Youth and Muzzle loader part of the season got done. They then cancelled the rest. The Mouflon sheep season end of July through middle of October, does not look like it will happen to.

For the island it is a good thing. The virus is not here yet.

I think we’ll be good, unless you live in Washington. Whatever you do, don’t start canceling trips just yet.

My concern is being able to get into Canada this fall for our annual walleye/grouse trip. Already had our spring fishing trip canceled. My friend owns the cabin so losing money isn't an issue. I'm just glad I haven't bought my licenses yet.

My buddy is supposed to be coming down in July. I’ll try to remember to post whether he was able to or not. It’ll be July 10th if you remember, shoot me an pm.

My biggest concern is the cabin that we typically rent.

The owners stopped renting it during the spring turkey season and are unsure about what they will do this fall.

That leaves us a bit in limbo!
