I have long held the belief that to be Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces you must have served in uniform yourself. There are those who will disagree with me I'm sure. But to me to be elected President is not enough. You must have served. The duty would fall to the next highest office providing he or she has established military service. Just my opinion. ed

The days of Commander in Chief, having served in the military are over---without the draft, the elite privileged have very little reason to join the military, be it active, reserve or national guard. With Hillary almost a shoe in for the next Pres. the country will have had 16 years of non military leaders--if we survive that long.

And the problem also is most military types tend to be conservative, and the media will dig up any dirt real or not and try to smear you with it, look at Allen West
