Has anyone converted the Hydraulic system on a Soft Touch recoil unit to a spring operated system or something similar? If so, what did you use and does it work? Hydraulic cylinders are getting more expensive to replace.

Give Clyde Cameron a call at 208-746-4486. He builds the Clyde Slyde which is a spring operated system similar to the Soft Touch. He could explain the feasibility of doing the conversion you mention. John

I've converted a spring system to hydraulic and it was no big deal. In my opinion going from Hydraulic to a spring system is like trading in a Cadilac on a Hyundai why shoot yourself in the foot
