Continued prayers are needed for Dave Terning and his family. It's been a week since his heart and kidney transplant and it's been a rollcoaster ride for everyone concerned. Living moment by moment is very stressful. So many things they are having to do to get him through this.

Congratulations are in order for their daughter and her family as the new baby has arrived. A baby girl, 9 lb. 14 oz. A joyous event for them and the family.

Please keep them all in your prayers.

The latest news is they are in the process of weaning Dave from the sedation and he's responding by moving his feet. His blood pressure and temp have returned to the normal ranges. They feel it could be a week before he is fully awake and responding. There is still some concern about the atrial fibrillation of the heart. All in all it's amazing the progress that has been made. This last week seems like an eternity, not just one week!

Dave still has a long way to go. Please keep praying for him and his family. They have two new lives to think of, Grandpa's and Granddaughter Kailey Grace.

Good News! Dave is slowly coming out of the sedation and is opening his eyes. He's able to respond to people by moving his head yes or no. It's slow but good progress.

By no means is he out of the woods yet, so keep him and his family in your prayers, please.

Cindy,

For those of us who know Dave and are in Minnesota, do you know if the family needs anything? Do you have any suggestions? We are praying and talk about them all the time but feel like we could be doing more but need some guidance from those closest to the family.

More Good News Today.....they had Dave sitting on the edge of his bed today for about 7 min. That's great news! He still isn't able to talk but the ventilator has been removed and things are moving slowly, but moving. It's so great to hear he's making progress. They are hoping to have him up longer tomorrow.

It will be great to have him farther down the road to recovery.

Thanks to all for your prayers and concerns for his recovery.

Cindy
