cleaning shot?

i bought some dirty re-claimed shot,i ran it over a screen to get rid of the dirt and such. but i was thinking,i know some use a cement mixer to tumble and graphite it. but on a smaller scale would a rock or gem tumbler do the trick?just a few pounds at a time. joseph

Seems that after you go through the drill of buying, sorting, cleaning, polishing and graphiting all the dirty old shot in small batches, you've invested more in IT than you would have in new shot...unless you place no value on your own time and talent.
