If you are using Mec bottles and they are getting brown. Get spare bottles and take your bottles off the press and move the contents to the new bottles. Then go squeeze your brown bottles firmly in the middle. If they break, throw them away. If not keep as spares. Once they start turning brown, they are subject to failure at any time.

Don't clean them even if they are nearly new. The fine carbon dust/graphite that sticks helps it flow better and minimize static. In no way would it contaminate new product.

After a few bags of shot switch the shot bottle to the powder side and get another shot bottle. The graphite on the inside of the used shot bottle kills static problems.

Didn't know I was suppose to clean them! I got my first 600 Jr in 1970 or 71, I've never cleaned them, and they are the original bottles!
